    Back from the J-Pan

Back from Japan and feeling good, had a great time, came back and first place we looked at was a 2-bed bungalow which was lovely so were moving into that on the 15th July.  We have a party arranged for the 1st July, and a new housewarming party for the end of July as well, no date set for the 2nd party as yet.
If you wanna read what the trip was like you can go to http://www.chrisandjennysjapan.blogspot.com and catch up.  As for pictures, i need to upload them to a server so u can all see them.

The lattes had a reunion about 4 weeks ago at my mums wedding, where we rocked out to a latte version of "Sweet Child O Mine" - we all cant wait for the DVD to watch that, and i apologise to all that were there for my god-awful speech.

Well i should catch up with you all soon, so until then, take care - oh and heres a new latte picture

    HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BLOG!!!

OK, Its a little late but on 16th March my blog was officially one year old...and i dont think one entry actually made any sense or was very interesting.  I suppose what ill do is just give you a summary of my past year (for those that care to read it).

This time last year I was working for shitty Philips, who sacked me for using the security cameras - fuck them.
Then I was unemployed for about 3 months, so I had to sign on unemployment benefit - which i didnt benefit from until AFTER i got a new job - so fuck the government.
I worked for Ultralase for 6 months which was alright, except they had me locked up in a dark room with no exposure to actual sunlight, i no wknow how it feels to be an abused child - so fuck that.
And now im working for Ericsson who in the past 3 months have given me a laptop, let me wear what i want to work, are sending me to Madrid for 3 days (all expenses paid), AND have given me a corporate American Express Card with NO LIMIT on it - so im fucking them!

...quite a nice turnaround if you ask me!

Also managed to get out of the flat, i do miss it sometimes, but then again im a nostalgic person, and now i get to live with Jenny, which is good.  We also got rid of Wai-Sum, cos he wouldnt stop winging about everyone owing him £30 - how can one man be so petty...it didnt seem very difficult for him.

In the upcoming weeks I have Cake coming down, Laura coming down, mums wedding, a trip to Japan, lots of sun and bike riding, and continuous praise from work for doing stuff im not paid to do, but i do anyway for my own agenda (designing and 3D stuff)...all in all life seems to be looking up really.

...it will probably come crashing down just as fast tho, but hey, theres a few weeks left before that happens.  So thanks to the 3 odd people who read this piece of crap, and may i continue to enlighten you with my pearls of wisdom (dont take that the wrong way!). lol

    New Bike!!!

I think 6 weeks is long enough to go without a blog, so heres your fix, you Radley junkies!

New news is that im getting a bike, its a Suzuki VL800 Volusia Intruder (trust me to get a bike called the intruder, lol) and you can see the pics below.  Just out of spite for rude boy racers im thinking of fitting the underneath with blue cathodes...think it might look pretty good on a bike as well.  Not much news to report on the trip to Japan, cant do much else for a couple of months, as you have to redeem train passes within 3 months and stuff like that.

Also, for those of you who like Charlotte Church, theres an interesting picture there for you as well - click on the picture to open it (warning, tissues at the ready lads!)

Me and James are thinking of another road trip to Leicestershire to see our good buddy Riley, you can never go wrong with that...apart from smelly Dave, the axe murdering psycho witch that lives over the road and the Punjabi radio asians who raid the garage next door on a Sunday morning - bunch of wankers!

    8 Hour Lunchtimes

Hey everybody, Ive been at Ericssons for 2 weeks now and im already getting a laptop! I know most of you are thinking "he already has 2 computers, why does he need a laptop?!" - well, the answer is quite simple, why not!

If youre afforded the chance to get free, expensive shit from work arent you gonna jump at the chance

Plans for Japan are coming along quite nicely, should be getting the money through any day now so make sure you get your orders over to me before mid April - apparently all the electronics over there are around 60% cheaper if not more.  Im gonna buy so much pointless crap its untrue, lol.  So if theres any electronics you want, let me know, get me the money and ill get it changed up with my lump sum im taking over there, its Y200 to the £1 so ill let you know how much ill need.

    Namaste

    Sweet F A

Hey all, dig this - I started work on Tuesday, both Dan (whos job im taking over) and Tony (my boss) were in, then Wednesday it was just Tony, yesterday no-one buy me and today im pretty sure its just Tony.  Now when you think about it - whos training me??? Ive been fiddling around with some new spreadsheet they want to use, but that got finished yesterday morning, and i dont even really know what the spreadsheets for and how it links into everything.  Dont get me wrong, im not complaining, its actually pretty funny-ive been sitting her doing sweet FA for 2 days, just drinking company drinks and using the company internet listening to my iPod.  Well, when something actually arises ill check back...

    Witnessing Laser Eye Surgery

Today I had to watch some patients getting laser eye surgery, and ive got to say, they have the easy job.  All they have to is lie there and look at a flashy light, the dont even twitch!!! I on the other hand had to watch the surgeon poke and prod and if your not used to it, youll wonder how the hell that doesnt hurt.  The patients have a local anasthetic and they cant feel a bloody thing, Im not a squeamish person but I did have to wonder how they didnt notice some of this stuff.  Oh well, part and parcel of the job I guess!

The flat move seems to be going smooth, as long as I dont let it affect me, Im just trying to get in there with the minimum of fuss for Jenny, since she hasnt moved before and doesnt know how stressy it can be.  The credit check people work out if you can rent a place by the sum of the places income compared to a percentage of what the rent is, or something like that, and we were £1500 short in our yearly earnings, so we got referred.  This means we would have to supply 6 months previous bank statements - trouble with that is i havent had a job for my last 2 months bank statements, and im living in my overdraft, so they would have said no.  Luckily I asked my Dad if he could be a guarantor and that would allow us to get in without a problem (downside of that is that it costs £75 for his check-honestly its daylight robbery!)

Another update for the lette-reunion, Cake is confirmed for both days, as is his lady friend, who is more than welcome on the Saturday, Riley is also confirmed for both days, Funk isnt coming at all, and Bungle is only coming on Friday... Not exactly the reunion I had hoped for, but at least the best of the best will be there...Even if Riley is sporting a rather kiddy-fiddling moustache now!

    Spooky Card Readings

Yesterday night was the Pyschic Fayre (or "Spooky Fayre" as we call it) at the Stoughton working mans club, how gay does that sound! YMCA anybody! Anyway, we go in, its £3 admission, then whatever they charge for things, palm readings, tarot cards, rune stones - they even had poxy crystal balls! You pick up everyones leaflets, look through them and decide who your gonna go with - I decided on Sarah, an elderly lady missing a few screws, wish a strange fascination for bread and butter, with her spirit guide "Grey Wolf"

I decided on tarot cards and as she was starting the tape player recording (yes, you get a tape of it too) i began shuffling the deck. Split it into four piles and she asked me to pick one.  This card was the 'about me' pack - i didnt give too much away on this one, and she hit the nail on the head, pretty much everything she said about me was right, filled me with confidence that she wasnt too much of a con artist, although she was a crackpot!

Second deck she asked me what i wanted to know about-so i said my future and what im gonna do with myself (cos ive got no idea really, hence yesterdays rant) - after a lot of mumbling we got into filming and how i should maybe do something along the lines of directing (which secretly i have been pondering about for quite sometime) - then she started going on about how she was seeing a shop - she said it was a bit vague so i fed her a line and told her about the music studio me and James planned, she encouraged this and i think she fed off that a bit, whilst saying until i get there ill havee to do the b'bread and butter jobs' (i think maybe she was a cow in her last life, who liked butter).....(and bread)...

I asked her about the past for the 3rd pile and gave far too much away and i think she just told me what i wanted to hear on this one - maybe i shouldnt have gotten comfortable around her, then i could have tested her limits-seen how good she really was...

I think next time ill go for Maureen, the old lady flirt, she was a bit more on the ball (excuse the pun!) The other feaures in this fayre were: Harry the Healer ('Healed' people - i think it was an excuse to touch people up with his 'non-invasive' heling!) David, who was just a fuckin' joke and the other two were, get this right, Mirella..AND...Joylina!

    Dont even get me started!

In conclusion, ive been sittin here all day thinking about what a story for my film could be, cos i have lots of angl/lighting/scene ideas, but no actual story yet...so far i have nothing.  Im off to think some more, and may the spooks be with you

    Webcomics

My busy day consisted of browsing through all 183 episodes of Applegeeks, plus the guest strip they did at Megatokyo, and i must say i loved every minute of it, kind of put the nail in the coffin in my decision to get an ibook, as well as other crashing issues it reminded me of all the problems PCs seem to give me nowadays!

Was playing Fable again late last night and its paid off big time, now im an evil demon with horns and red mist around me, as tony the tiger would say, its grrrrrrrrreat!

This is only gonna be a mini-rant cos i have stuff to do today like sort out over-payments from jobs i was in 6 months ago (NEVER buy from Dixons!!!) and other crap, so will update later or tomorrow

The start of something very bad...

Well, im here at work on my second day working on reception at Philips, and ive resorted to starting a blog...oh dear.  Its not all bad tho, im workin 2 buildings down from where i used to work (at Ericssons ) and im gettin the same money i got there for doing less!  I used to do switchboards, pool cars, Time + Attendance, ID Cards and general crap and whenever you had a 2 minute rest the manager was there breathing down your neck, then again, that is the reason no-one there likes her.  Now im sitting on reception actually being paid to do nothing, i meet and greet, give out visitor passes, book the odd taxi and thats it, aint life grand.

This gives me some stress free time to relax, soak up some sun (reception faces the sun ^_^ ) and continue my quest to learn japanese!

I bought a book on learning it, and its really good, gives you the very basics on language and culture - turns out that learnin the language is easier than french, its the reading thats the hard part, they have 3 different written forms, and they use them all together, and seperately on their signs, depends how old they are.

Anyway, ive bored y'all enough, now im gonna finish my shift and go home to cook my lovely girlfriend dinner.  No doubt you'll get an update tomorrow, an insight into the mind of me...scary stuff.  Stay tuned, same bat time, same bat channel  ^_^
