    2 Months Fly By

In the past 2 months Ive moved to my Dads, then to my Mums new place.  Jen's still working as a live in nanny looking after Harry.  Ive spent the past week and a bit off work cos my backs given in and its starting to get a little better-the doctor decides to give you pain killers to mask the pain, not give you time off work to recover!  I said "shouldnt i take some time off as sitting on my bike for 2 hours commuting every day cant be doing me much good?" - she replied "Oh no, you should keep at it, keeping active is the best thing".

Then I got outside and realised she thought I meant pushbike, not motorbike, daft hippy cow!

Were flat-sitting for Jens sister this weekend, so should be fun, cant wait to roll some good times and drink a few beers, goin out to a "celebrating sex" party on Friday night (Keri finds out the sex of her and Darrens baby) and Saturday night we have another fun party planned, looking forward to this weekend, and then Tuesday 31st (Halloween!) were off to Birmingham and the NEC bike show to see some shiny bikes and scantly clad spandex wearing bimbos! WOOT!

And beware of Hells Hooters, coming to a blue store near you!

    Just a Quickie

     Hi All,
Just a quickie to give you a link over here http://kevan.org/brain.cgi?Chris%20Radley - beware, your life IS at risk
    mwahahahahaha!

Oh yeah, and big up to Leicester this weekend, Beware the Suttonians and the Guildfordians, for we are coming for you!

    Im coming home

Now as some of you may know, ive been in Guildford for about 4 years now, but in that time ive racked up a fair amount of debt, so now that Jenny has a live-in nanny job, I can feel a bit better about leaving the immediate area.  Im moving back to carshalton and the money i would be spending on rent and bills, will now be put to better use - paying off these debts.  It will only take a year to clear them off and then we can start saving for a deposit on a house or something, because at the rate were going at the moment, well never get out of debt, or one of us will die worrying about it.

However, fear not fellow Guildfordians! Ill still be working here, so ill be up here everyday, and probably at weekends as well, depending on where we stay.  So dont be suprised if i turn up unexpected and dos round your house for a night or two, it just means that, well, i cant be arsed to do the half hour journey home, lol.

I would write a bit more now, but my wrist is cramping up...more later

    Back from the J-Pan

Back from Japan and feeling good, had a great time, came back and first place we looked at was a 2-bed bungalow which was lovely so were moving into that on the 15th July.  We have a party arranged for the 1st July, and a new housewarming party for the end of July as well, no date set for the 2nd party as yet.
If you wanna read what the trip was like you can go to http://www.chrisandjennysjapan.blogspot.com and catch up.  As for pictures, i need to upload them to a server so u can all see them.

The lattes had a reunion about 4 weeks ago at my mums wedding, where we rocked out to a latte version of "Sweet Child O Mine" - we all cant wait for the DVD to watch that, and i apologise to all that were there for my god-awful speech.

Well i should catch up with you all soon, so until then, take care - oh and heres a new latte picture

    HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BLOG!!!

OK, Its a little late but on 16th March my blog was officially one year old...and i dont think one entry actually made any sense or was very interesting.  I suppose what ill do is just give you a summary of my past year (for those that care to read it).

This time last year I was working for shitty Philips, who sacked me for using the security cameras - fuck them.
Then I was unemployed for about 3 months, so I had to sign on unemployment benefit - which i didnt benefit from until AFTER i got a new job - so fuck the government.
I worked for Ultralase for 6 months which was alright, except they had me locked up in a dark room with no exposure to actual sunlight, i no wknow how it feels to be an abused child - so fuck that.
And now im working for Ericsson who in the past 3 months have given me a laptop, let me wear what i want to work, are sending me to Madrid for 3 days (all expenses paid), AND have given me a corporate American Express Card with NO LIMIT on it - so im fucking them!

...quite a nice turnaround if you ask me!

Also managed to get out of the flat, i do miss it sometimes, but then again im a nostalgic person, and now i get to live with Jenny, which is good.  We also got rid of Wai-Sum, cos he wouldnt stop winging about everyone owing him £30 - how can one man be so petty...it didnt seem very difficult for him.

In the upcoming weeks I have Cake coming down, Laura coming down, mums wedding, a trip to Japan, lots of sun and bike riding, and continuous praise from work for doing stuff im not paid to do, but i do anyway for my own agenda (designing and 3D stuff)...all in all life seems to be looking up really.

...it will probably come crashing down just as fast tho, but hey, theres a few weeks left before that happens.  So thanks to the 3 odd people who read this piece of crap, and may i continue to enlighten you with my pearls of wisdom (dont take that the wrong way!). lol

    New Bike!!!

I think 6 weeks is long enough to go without a blog, so heres your fix, you Radley junkies!

New news is that im getting a bike, its a Suzuki VL800 Volusia Intruder (trust me to get a bike called the intruder, lol) and you can see the pics below.  Just out of spite for rude boy racers im thinking of fitting the underneath with blue cathodes...think it might look pretty good on a bike as well.  Not much news to report on the trip to Japan, cant do much else for a couple of months, as you have to redeem train passes within 3 months and stuff like that.

Also, for those of you who like Charlotte Church, theres an interesting picture there for you as well - click on the picture to open it (warning, tissues at the ready lads!)

Me and James are thinking of another road trip to Leicestershire to see our good buddy Riley, you can never go wrong with that...apart from smelly Dave, the axe murdering psycho witch that lives over the road and the Punjabi radio asians who raid the garage next door on a Sunday morning - bunch of wankers!

    8 Hour Lunchtimes

Hey everybody, Ive been at Ericssons for 2 weeks now and im already getting a laptop! I know most of you are thinking "he already has 2 computers, why does he need a laptop?!" - well, the answer is quite simple, why not!

If youre afforded the chance to get free, expensive shit from work arent you gonna jump at the chance

Plans for Japan are coming along quite nicely, should be getting the money through any day now so make sure you get your orders over to me before mid April - apparently all the electronics over there are around 60% cheaper if not more.  Im gonna buy so much pointless crap its untrue, lol.  So if theres any electronics you want, let me know, get me the money and ill get it changed up with my lump sum im taking over there, its Y200 to the £1 so ill let you know how much ill need.

    Namaste

    Sweet F A

Hey all, dig this - I started work on Tuesday, both Dan (whos job im taking over) and Tony (my boss) were in, then Wednesday it was just Tony, yesterday no-one buy me and today im pretty sure its just Tony.  Now when you think about it - whos training me??? Ive been fiddling around with some new spreadsheet they want to use, but that got finished yesterday morning, and i dont even really know what the spreadsheets for and how it links into everything.  Dont get me wrong, im not complaining, its actually pretty funny-ive been sitting her doing sweet FA for 2 days, just drinking company drinks and using the company internet listening to my iPod.  Well, when something actually arises ill check back...

    New Artwork

Hi to all you lonely people, you very small community (or is it handful) of people that read this blog.  Just letting you all know the plan for Japan is finished and we should be flying out on the 9th May hopefully.  Will post more details probably tomorow since ive done all my work for the week (ah yes, back to the wonders of Ericsson, drifting off into the background to be yet another invisible cog in the corporate clock)

And below are a few sneaky peeks at a new piece of work im doing, all totally original, drawn and coloured by me, this piece should be finished by the end of the weekend and ill let you know when its up on my DeviantArt page.

    Night all

    Foggy Friday!

    PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

     TRIP TO JAPAN

Okay people, listen up!  2006 is the year I am going to backpack around Japan.  Ive decided if i dont go now then ill never go, you can put things off and say "Ill save up and go" and "when I have the time" but the truth is if you save up youll find something material to spend your money on rather than an experience of a lifetime, and for those kinds of things you have to make time.  So at the moment the trip is on, looking at a mid-year leaving date - possibly latter half of May, not sure yet.  Now Ive invited Jenny and she likes the sound of it, and now im inviting you good people, these things are always more fun in a group.  Finances are pretty easy, just shove it all on a 0% credit card and pay it off, if you go over the 0% period, transfer the balance to another card with 0% - thats easy enough.  Ive also looked into how far your money will get you and at he moment its about 200 Yen to the pound, which is damn good, thats a beer in Japan for a pound! And the best part is, it doesnt look like its going to go down either.

One thing id like to do is climb Mount Fuji, but thats something everyone can discuss when we put together an Itinerary.  Those of you who know me best know im not a very "orderly" person, but for something like this you have to have at least a vague plan of what your doing and when.

Give it a think, and i know the likelihood is that Me and Jenny will end up going by ourselves while everybody claims they "cant afford it" or get the "time off work" - but think of it, in 10 years time when you have a mortgage and kids, you definitely wont be able to afford it or have the time, so basically what im saying is now is the time, and when better to go than as a group where we can all have a laugh, have an adventure in an unknown foreign land and come back with stories to tell your kids 10 years in the future.

     Let me know

    New Jobs...

OK, update is: I might have a new job at Ericsson paying me up to 4 (and possibly even 5!)k more per year than im on now!  AND on top of that i also have a job as the artist for a new online comic that will be up soon, some samples of what to expect can be seen at my DeviantArt page - and a small sample below.  Will let you kow more on Tuesday after the interview...

    Broken Back

Well, i did my back in on thursday night and spent friday off work, and most of saturday out of action.  Updated some stuff on my deviantart page, and managed to get a job as an artist for a new webcomic, will let you all know the details of that when 1st issue is done.  Might have a new job back at Ericsson paying my 3-4k more than im on now, which would be a welcome raise, means i can get a bike again, no more trains for Radleyman.  Gotta be quick as Jennys wanting to go the pub. See you all soon.

oh, by the way, James has a new car, so boys, the trip to Leicester to see El Riley is still on!

Life is Good...Apart from a few tossers!

Havent updated this in a while so i thought i should.  Weve officially finished moving in, all the boxes are gone and all my studio equipment has arrived and is set up - sounds awesome!  Work has just become work, you dread it when you get up, struggle through to lunch and then try and rush everything through so you can get home those few minutes earlier.  Its good living with someone you dont argue with as well, ar harasses you for money (apart from when she wants bloody shoes)!!!

All i need to do now is ask Simon, my boss, for a raise - cos theres no way i should be on my wage for the responsibilities I have! Honestly, give someone a penny and theyll try and take a pound...(!?)

    8/14/2005

    Festivities

Had a small gathering to other night, a few of Jennys friends and some people from back home, went rather well (even tho the neighbours complained!) Then the next morning had bacon toasties for breakfast followed by a radley roast for lunch and some impromptued jamming from both Mr's Riley and Cake, the videos to which i will be posting up here soon.

Thats all for now, off to eat chocolate! mmm

    8/7/2005

    Moving House

Well me and Jenny have been in our new flat for a week now and everythings pretty much sorted. We have a sofa, a new table (and some lucky bamboo!) - The spare room/studio room will be ready on wednesday, which is the same day the internet gets activated as well.

Well ive discovered im not eligable for laser eye treatment cos of my liver, but i shouldnt have a problem if i want to get an IOL (Inter-Ocular Lens) which is basically a contact lens implanted into your eye, sounds painful, and it probably is, but im guessin ill be asleep for that and the only discomfort is during the recovery, but you gotta get these things free while you can lol.  Just call me bionic Radley!

Hopefully I should be seeing Cake, Riley and the rest of the guys at the weekend but i know which ones will definitely come and which ones will probably give some reasons why they cant...

    Witnessing Laser Eye Surgery

Today I had to watch some patients getting laser eye surgery, and ive got to say, they have the easy job.  All they have to is lie there and look at a flashy light, the dont even twitch!!! I on the other hand had to watch the surgeon poke and prod and if your not used to it, youll wonder how the hell that doesnt hurt.  The patients have a local anasthetic and they cant feel a bloody thing, Im not a squeamish person but I did have to wonder how they didnt notice some of this stuff.  Oh well, part and parcel of the job I guess!

The flat move seems to be going smooth, as long as I dont let it affect me, Im just trying to get in there with the minimum of fuss for Jenny, since she hasnt moved before and doesnt know how stressy it can be.  The credit check people work out if you can rent a place by the sum of the places income compared to a percentage of what the rent is, or something like that, and we were £1500 short in our yearly earnings, so we got referred.  This means we would have to supply 6 months previous bank statements - trouble with that is i havent had a job for my last 2 months bank statements, and im living in my overdraft, so they would have said no.  Luckily I asked my Dad if he could be a guarantor and that would allow us to get in without a problem (downside of that is that it costs £75 for his check-honestly its daylight robbery!)

Another update for the lette-reunion, Cake is confirmed for both days, as is his lady friend, who is more than welcome on the Saturday, Riley is also confirmed for both days, Funk isnt coming at all, and Bungle is only coming on Friday... Not exactly the reunion I had hoped for, but at least the best of the best will be there...Even if Riley is sporting a rather kiddy-fiddling moustache now!

Life is good at last :P

Well at last things are going right!

I came back off my great holiday and discovered everyone i live with was moving out...but...as a result of this I am moving in with Jenny into a nice new spanky flat

I have a job working at Ultralase, and i get free eye treatment after my probation, so i wont need contacts or glasses now until im 40 and need reading glasses.

Everyone is invited to our flatwarming party, ill send out the e-mails with dates and times when we know nearer the time.

We want a pet but dont like the idea of cleaning up poo and stuff, so were...well, I...am thinkin of getting an AIBO!  These things are cool as a mofo!

Well, the Latte reunion is this weekend i believe, need to get in touch with people about that.  Off for a lovely Aberdeen Angus at his Steak House ...

    Mouth watering stuff...
    7/1/2005

Also I heard Mr Rileys new EP, or the first song off it, After Dark, which is i must say FUCKIN AWESOME.  Well done sir.

Well, im off to Barcelona on Sunday until Friday so no updates next week, but will post next weekend with pictures of our trip, and i found out we get FREE MINI-BAR!  What a great day it has been.

Now excuse me while i go and enjoy some Fosters Export

And I bid good-will to all men!

I think this picture sums up my mood today
